I got to meet Jennie - She and her husband live up in the moutains with no running water, no electricity. She showed me where they installed a door this year... She thinks its inconvenient! They used to use a blanket to cover the doorway - Picture a Montana winter with no door. It was very interesting to see how they rough-it!!
Lura brought down the house with her performance as Heavenly Delight - A play written after the format of Agatha's Three Blind Mice.
This summer we went to Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse - It was worth the miles!

Korczak Ziolkowski is the artist who with his family carves Crazy Horse. When his children were young he had them sketch wildlife and then created this gate from their sketches.
After visiting Rushmore and the Crazy Horse monument we landed in Wyoming where Willie sang us a few lullabies before we went to bed. His little sister, Bobbie played a fine tune on the piano, too. It was the most civilized concert I've ever been to - a lot of oilfield workers and their families.

Brady strapping on the survival tool Trent gave him. It has a knife, a compass, a string for fishing - great for an outdoor boy like Brady - I kinda think he likes it!

On the way down the Mesa Gary pulled off onto a gravel road and we picked chokecherries in the dark - It was so cool, I hadn't picked chokecherries since we were kids in Montana!

So I went home with forty pounds of peaches and some chokecherries, too :0)
