Ahhhhh, Pacific Grove !

A fun, fresh Picnic

... with tea and fine china !

That Laurie is quite a gourmet caterer!

Bryce approves :0)

Verna and Laurie told of a good lady who lived at this lighthouse with her gruff husband - who found a great thing when he put his hearing aids in!

This coastline grabs your heart with its breathtaking beauty.

An artist who was good at capturing the gorgeous sea

This couple and scenery made for a nice composition

It was surprising to see mallards in the sea marsh - there were lots of them so it must not be unusual.

a nice picture with a water freckled lens

If you look close you'll see a white squiggle in the sky - Laurie and I both saw either a falling meteor or a missile/military object - It was really bright and unusual. I'm pretty sure it must have been military - there is a base close by.
We had a remarkable, fine-European dinner at Fandango's. Sunday morning - Laurie whipped up awesome oatmeal and Verna made eggs with her hen-chirping egg cooker. I admired it greatly :0)Bryce knows how to ski with oatmeal-bowl skids
After a good meeting at Ken and Carol's in Aptos we went to Monterey We must have eaten seven or eight chowder samples offered invitingly from all the restaurants along the wharf... Each restaurant had something to say about theirs being the very best! Some were super, some were like thick glue, some were smoky, some were peppery - I gave 5stars to Isabella's- Needless to say we didn't order any for lunch. :0)

Laurie and I enjoyed speculating what life was like for this sailor rowing out to his boat with his dog.
